With about twenty million visitors yearly, Hakone is an easily accessible sightseeing destination from Tokyo and is popular among both Japanese and foreign tourists. The area can be enjoyed year round, with incredible views that change with the seasons, many hot spring resorts, leisure facilities and museums. In the first episode of our Hakone series, we will take you to the area around Lake Ashinoko, which is only a 50-minute bus ride away from Hakone-Yumoto Station.
