This year’s Tokyo Rainbow Pride was held from April 28 to May 26 under the theme of ‘Love & Equality’. Over 140,000 people participated in the Pride Festival on May 5 and 6, which was held at Yoyogi Park – a record compared to last years’ numbers. On top of that, a record-breaking 7,000 people attended the parade, which snaked through Shibuya with the rainbow flag held high.
This year’s event also saw a lot of allies attend, and it seems like the LGBTQIA+ love truly is spreading through Tokyo.
