The Shibuya Fashion Week was first held in March 2014 and focuses on the latest trends in and around Shibuya. Large department stores participate and prepare special events and campaigns for this dazzling event. One of the biggest highlights is the ‘Shibuya Runway’, a fashion show which takes place in the bustling streets of Tokyo’s fashion mecca. During ‘Shibuya First Step’, which is considered the gateway to success for young Japanese designers, amok and -niitu- showed their newest creations. Furthermore, shop assistants of various boutiques participate as well by modelling upcoming season’s new looks on the runway.
