The Nunobiki plateau of wind is located south from lake Inawashiro, about 1,000m above sea level. From there you have a stunning view over the lake and Mt. Bandai. The plateau attracts visitors year-round with its beautiful flower fields, showing sun flowers in summer, cosmos flowers in autumn and mustard flowers (nanohana) during spring. Housing one of Japan’s biggest wind farms, the 33 installed windmills provide electricity for 35,000 households.
