Gotokuji Temple
Located in Tokyo’s Setagaya ward, the Gotokuji Temple is thought to be the birthplace of maneki-neko, Japan’s famous ‘beckoning cat’, which is a symbol of good luck.
The maneki-neko is a cat-shaped figurine, that’s inviting people with its paw.It’s said that the right paw brings fortune, and the left one brings in guests.
